Playing Your First Game of Aviator

Playing Your First Game of Aviator

Crash gaming has taken the world of online casinos by storm. Aviator is the flagship title in the genre, and it is easy to get started on with just a little guidance.

Online casinos were once places that housed basic slot titles, digital poker, and a few games of roulette and blackjack. All of that has changed, and alongside modern representations of classics, new genres are storming onto the scene. One of these is crash gaming, and its foremost title is Aviator, which now has 12 million players per month across the globe.

What is Aviator?

Aviator is what has come to be known as a crash game. These are characterised by easy-to-play, low-wagering titles that require little in the way of skill or prior knowledge. Many of them also have social features like lobbies and leaderboards. The best casinos around the world stock it, such as Jackpot City Aviator. Once people have made an account, they can turn up, make a bet for the first time, and enjoy the game.

There are many crash games, and the concept has been around for a while. Yet it was Aviator that really pushed the genre onwards, and lent it its moniker. With this outing, you had to guess the path of an onscreen aircraft, which was determined by a random number generator. The longer it flew, the more multipliers would increase your total. Yet if you didn’t cash out before it crashed, you lost everything. Today, you must take out your funds before the plane jets off into the stratosphere, but the concept remains the same.

Spribe Studios

Spribe Studios is the company behind Aviator. They describe the title as a new form of social multiplayer game. It is designed to be light and adaptive, catering to the 3.9 billion people across the world who now play mobile games. So popular has the brand become that you can now see it sponsoring many major events, such as UFC and WWE.

Crucially, Spribe engineered it to stand apart from other casino games. It has more social elements, such as in-game chat functions. This lets players communicate and discuss the events taking place, building a community. All of this is enhanced by live betting, where players can see who is wagering and winning in real time. In-game statistics also present daily, monthly, and all-time wins.

All of this is enhanced when you consider that players are betting on the same event. This rarely happens in casino games, with slots being solitary, blackjack and roulette being against a dealer, and poker being against other players. A camaraderie is created, almost akin to watching a sporting event.

Playing a Round of Aviator

Start by heading over to the Aviatar game in your chosen casino. You will enter a lobby, which is where you wait for the next game to begin. Here you will see leaderboards, and you may be able to discuss betting strategies with others using the chat function. You can also place your stake and wait for the next round to begin.

Once it starts, the Aviator will take to the sky. As it flies, it will pass various checkpoints, which increase the multiplier. These range from x2.37 upwards to x86 and beyond.

There are now three possibilities. Firstly, you can cash out early. This will get you a small return and is less risky. However, if you like to take a punt, you can stay in longer. A higher multiplier will be the result. Thirdly, if you don’t cash out in time and the plane vanishes from the screen, then you face a loss.

Some games will even allow you to place multiple bets in one round. This means you can technically cash out one early and leave one in until the later stages to ramp up your wins. However, one of the most effective tactics is the single bets strategy, as it tends to increase enjoyment and make bankrolls last longer.

The RTP of Aviator

Aviator has a return to player rating (RTP) of 97%. This is a measure of how much you would get returned if you wagered over a prolonged period of time. It is not a figure that states you will win 97% of the time.

Imagine you toss a coin. You may get heads three, four, or five times in a row. Yet if you did it 100 times, the outcome would be roughly 50/50. Probability dictates that in Aviator, if you had $100 and bet it over 100 games, spending $1 each, you would get $97 at the end, and $3 remaining would go to the house.

Aviator is just one of many crash gaming titles. From Plinko to games where you have to guide frogs across roads, it is part of a new breed of casino titles. You don’t need hours of strategy and reading to get started, so log on and try a game today. You may just find your new favourite pastime.
